The Emerald Training Consultants partnership was formed in 2007 in Syracuse, New York, by three co-workers who have the desire to educate and share best practices so that ALL workers, clients and students may have safer, healthier environments. The founders, Nuala Collins, Mark Satterly, R.N., B.S.N. and Enid Reiley, M.S. have over 60 years of combined experience in human services and health care environments. Nuala’s, Mark’s and Enid’s previous work experience includes direct care and management in psychiatric care, gerontology, developmental disabilities, school settings, and a variety of private and government owned businesses. While no one can ever predict or completely prevent dangerous or violent behavior, we believe the education, communication and awareness training we provide can lead to earlier recognition and intervention strategies to behavioral issues. In addition to recognition and intervention strategies training, the Emerald Training Consultants will provide consultation on policies, procedures, new employee orientation and physical work spaces which enhances and supports the training provided. The Emerald Training Consultants are members of the National Organization of Safety Professionals and are certified trainers in Workplace Violence Prevention. Emerald Training Consultants is also a members of the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce, Women Business Owners Connection, and the Central New York Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development. Emerald Training Consultants is a New York State certified small, women-owned business enterprise.
